I’ve been plant-based for 10 years, and I’ll say it straight: Texas is a hard place to be vegan. Not impossible, though.
I usually share DIYs on my account, but as someone who considers food fuel, I want to start sharing how I fuel my body with plants. As a former cardiac RN, I’ve seen firsthand what happens when we don’t put the right fuel in our bodies – and that’s stuck with me. Food is fuel, and if you don’t use the right fuel, your body will show you the signs.
Now, I love a good home-cooked meal. I tend to lean crunchy when it comes to cooking from scratch for my family. But as a busy mom, I also need a break once in a while and these are the places our family turns to when mama needs a night off from cooking.
Here’s another habit of mine: when I travel, the first thing I do is look for places that are either 100% plant-based (always my first choice) or that at least offer solid vegan options. So if you’re searching for the best vegan restaurants in Fort Worth, here’s my honest, local answer – the exact spots my family and I actually eat at, plus a few chain backups that always come through. My hope is that this post lands with the plant-based and vegan-curious travelers looking for good food in Fort Worth, just like I look for it wherever I go.
Quick answer: The two best fully vegan restaurants in Fort Worth are Belenty’s Love (vegan Mexican) and Spiral Diner & Bakery (vegan American comfort food). For vegan-friendly options with variety for non-vegan family members, Dimassi’s Mediterranean Buffet and Seven Mile Cafe are the best bets.
Best 100% Vegan Restaurants in Fort Worth
1. Belenty’s Love β Best Vegan Mexican Food in Fort Worth
π 3516 Blue Bonnet Cir, Fort Worth, TX 76109 | (817) 862-9008

This is my number one favorite restaurant in all of DFW. It’s a 100% vegan Mexican restaurant near TCU, and the food is seasoned so well it reminds me of the Mexican food I grew up eating. They serve a huge variety of dishes. My go-to’s are the birria tacos, brisket burrito, and brisket grilled cheese. The desserts are great too, and the salsas are SO good. I always order a cookies and cream milkshake for the road.
Best for: Vegan Mexican food, birria tacos, family dinners
2. Spiral Diner & Bakery β Vegan comfort food in Fort Worth
π 1314 W. Magnolia Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104 | (817) 332-8834

Spiral Diner is 100% vegan American comfort food, serving Fort Worth’s Near Southside since 2002. They serve breakfast all day, and my usual order is biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon and tofu scramble. Their Philly cheesesteak sandwich is also excellent. Go Friday through Sunday and you’ll catch a fresh batch of vegan donuts – they’re incredible.
Best for: All-day breakfast, vegan donuts (FriβSun), comfort food
Best Vegan-Friendly Restaurants in Fort Worth
These aren’t fully vegan, but they’re where we go as a family when not everyone eats plant-based.
3. Dimassi’s Mediterranean Buffet
π 6357 Camp Bowie Blvd, Ste 200, Fort Worth, TX 76116 | (817) 862-7432

One of my family’s favorite places. It’s a buffet-style Mediterranean restaurant, and Mediterranean cuisine naturally has so many vegan options – hummus, falafel, and more. Come hungry; this place has a lot to offer.
Best for: Vegan buffet, group dinners, mixed-diet families
4. Seven Mile Cafe
π 6300 North Fwy, Fort Worth, TX 76137 | (817) 778-0911
My favorite breakfast place, period. They offer options for almost every kind of diet, which is why I love it – not all of my extended family is vegan, so I know there’s something for everyone here. My order is always the plant-based migas or avocado breakfast tacos. They offer a lot of breakfast options where you can swap out eggs, meat or dairy for the plant-based version.
Best for: Family breakfast, mixed-diet groups
5. MOD Pizza
Build-your-own pizza with a vegan cheese option. Fast, easy, and everyone in the family can build their own.
6. Blaze Pizza
Same build-your-own format, also with a solid vegan cheese option.
